Autumn

So far, so good for Autumn. Apparently this has been the warmest in living memory for Cornwall. It certainly feels like it with hardly any rain and loads of sun. Sure, the wind has been strong for the last couple of weeks but if you can find some shelter then it has been unseasonably warm
The St Ives September Festival was an absolute blinder by all accounts and next years lineup is set to eclipse 2011's. We'll look forward to that.

Evening at Godrevy

 I have to say that I have been a little lacklustre with regard to the blogging lately. Its just been pretty busy what with all the good waves and weather!
I did, however, manage a little walk around Godrevy earlier. I didn't get to see many of the seals that this area is well known for but at least I managed to fire off a few snaps.
The weather has been beautiful today. Just one of those perfect days that we get in July - no wind, blistering sunshine and some gentle waves lapping against the shore.
Anyway, I'll try to get some more pics of the area up here. Its way more interesting than me prattling on!

We are fully refurbished!

Finally, after much hard work and the occasional moan, we have finished the Gwithian Holidays refurbishments. Trevose and St Anthony, our one bedroom suites, have been totally redone.

How we went to B & Q one too many times.

Those who 'like' our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter may have noticed a few posts about renovations. That's because we've been silly enough to do some. We try to redecorate the suites every year and this started as a simple redecoration scheme. However, new paint soon turned into retiling bathrooms, and then we decided that St Anthony (Suite 4) needed a bit of a makeover. So far so good.

Cornwall Design Season 2011

A leaflet came through our door a few weeks ago, advertising Cornwall Design Season. It took me a few days to get round to looking at it, but I'm so glad I did.

How we went on a very long road trip.

Last Friday happened to be our fifth wedding anniversary. Five years of very good times so we decided to celebrate. However, it would have been way too easy to go to a nice hotel, or out for a meal. Instead we decided the best thing to do was drive 600 miles and collect a load of furniture.
