We are fully refurbished!

Finally, after much hard work and the occasional moan, we have finished the Gwithian Holidays refurbishments. Trevose and St Anthony, our one bedroom suites, have been totally redone.

Trevose has had the most work done, with a new en suite bathroom being made out of hallway and laundry cupboard, and the kitchen being moved into the old bathroom. The living space is now much much bigger, and hopefully nicer too. We've put underfloor heating in the bathroom as well, for a little touch of luxury. St Anthony has also had a complete makeover, with new bathroom, new flooring throughout and total redecoration. We've tried to make it a bit more luxurious, especially for couples staying with us.

Other than that there have been lots of other bits that we've had done, not least among them the PV panels that have been fitted to the roof. The aim is to generate as much of our own electricity as we can, and so far the good weather we've been having has helped enormously. If the sun shone like this every day we could probably supply most of the village too!

We'll put some pictures up as soon as we've recovered enough to take them. It's been a busy couple of months trying to get everything done in time for guests arriving, and no sooner had we finished, than we were checking the first people into the newly decorated suites. However, there's a changeover this weekend so we'll try to get some photos up so you can all admire the handiwork!

Certainly if we never see the inside of B and Q, or a paintbrush for some time, that will be absolutely fine.

On a less hectic note the weather has been fabulous, hitting 20 degrees on Sunday. We haven't had the first BBQ of the year yet but we've been on the beach a lot and Tys has been surfing as often as possible. We've seen lots of our guests sitting outside enjoying the great weather as well so long may it last.
