The Long Walk to Summer

It feels like we have turned the corner into spring today. I know we aren't quite there yet but the fields are starting to fill with colour and for the last week or so there has been a hell of a lot of sunshine. The temperature has barely got past freezing but you can't have everything I suppose!

Late winter/early spring is a great time to come to Cornwall if you are lucky with the weather. The last three February/Marches have had really settled weather patterns so maybe this the way the Cornish climate is going to become. So long as its drier I'll be delighted!
Its always hard to tell at this time of year but it looks like its going to be a busy season in Cornwall this year. August is almost full up already so I guess that a lot of people will be holidaying in Cornwall rather than risking Greece and the rest of Europe. Its a bit of a stinker that the Eurozone is so expensive at the moment as I love surf trips to France and Ireland but I guess their loss is Cornwall's gain.
Meanwhile our six month saga of dealing with BT's notorious call centres has resulted in a broadband connection and free wi-fi throughout the Gwithian Holidays building. It was worth the wait even if it was intensely frustrating at the time.
Roll on summer!
